WithSmartScan you get a full version of the OCR application DirectScan, with which you can convert text areas of your scanned documents into fully editable Word, Excel or PDF documents. Your files are converted and can then be edited or archived.

The newSmartScan has a button that allows you to select PDF or JPEG (image files) as the scanning format. At you can also select the resolution (300, 600 or 900 dpi) and quality (color or black and white). Furthermore, you can edit your settings directly on the scanner, without connecting to the computer!
