With the included Readiris software, you can convert the scanned documents into indexed PDF files, thanks to the powerful OCR engine that converts the text from the image into indexed text. Searching for information in a document will be faster and easier than ever: no more wasting time reading the entire document!

Color LCD screen for preview images
The large color LCD screen on the top of the scanner lets you preview your scanned documents. It also allows you to adjust all scan settings and find out the battery charge level and remaining memory capacity.

Direct scanning in PDF or JPEG format
The IRIScan Book 3 scanner has a format selection button that lets you choose between PDF and image (JPEG). You can also select the resolution (300, 600 or 900 dpi) and quality (color or black and white). In addition, you can adjust the settings directly on the scanner without having to connect it to a computer.
